Laura Linney is an American actor who became well-known for her portrayal of strong and vulnerable character. Linney came from an aristocratic family that loved theatre. Her father was a writer. Her mother, Romulus Linney, was a writer. She earned a degree in Arts Theatre School, Moscow in 1986. Later she completed a M.F.A. at Juilliard School. New York City. She immediately began performing in shows on Broadway before receiving acclaim for her performances as Hedda Gabler in Six Degrees of Separation and Hedda Gabler.
